Almanya-Türkiye İşgücü Anlaşması 2021’de 60. yılını geride bıraktı. Türkiye’den Almanya’ya bu anlaşma çerçevesinde gidip yerleşenlerin ve gidenleri buyur edenlerin hayatının nasıl değiştiği üzerine haftalarca tartışmak mümkün. Bu değişimin en kuvvetli damarı kuşkusuz müzik. Yönetmen Cem Kaya bu belgeselde uzun yıllar süren titiz bir arşiv çalışması sayesinde daha önce gün yüzüne çıkmamış kayıtları da ortaya sererek Türkiye’den göçenlerin ilmek ilmek ördüğü müzik kültürüne bakıyor. Almanya’daki göçmen edebiyatçılardan Aras Ören’in şiiri “Aşk Mark ve Ölüm”, Berlinli post-punk grubu Ideal tarafından bestelenmişti. Adını bu şiirden ve şarkıdan alan film, hem iki ülkede de efsaneleşen Cem Karaca, Yüksel Özkasap, Derdiyoklar, Erci E. gibi sanatçıları hem de İsmet Topçu, Cavidan Ünal, Hatay Engin gibi sadece Almanya’da bilinen Türkiyeli müzisyenleri ağırlıyor.
2021 marked the 60th anniversary of the labour agreement between Germany and Turkey. One could spend months discussing how life has changed for those who under this agreement settled in Germany as well as for those that invited them there. One of the greatest changes without a doubt is in the realm of music. Director Cem Kaya takes a look at the music culture formed by the immigrants from Turkey through this documentary that combs through meticulously assembled archives established over the years and recordings that have only very recently surfaced. The post-punk Berlin band Ideal puts Germanybased Aras Ören’s poem “Aşk, Mark ve Ölüm” to music. The film named after this poem and the ensuing song takes a look at artists of legendary stature both in Turkey and Germany such as Cem Karaca, Yüksel Özkasap, Derdiyoklar and Erci E. as well as artists that are predominantly only known in Germany such as İsmet Topçu, Cavidan Ünal and Hatay Engin.
